Alright ladies and gents, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Skye and I am one of the Music Directors for WRVU. In an attempt to help beef up the website content, I have decided to contribute my two-cents to this delightful pool of WRVU-ness. I will hopefully make a blog post every time I come across an absolutely amazing album. So keep checking back!
Now that the formalities are out of the way, I have been meaning to write about this album for quite some time. So I am just going to do it. Here goes:
The Antlers', composed of Peter Silberman, Michael Lerner and Darby Cicci, latest release Hospice is an incredible concept album based on the story of a young hospice that falls in love with his patient. This album can take a willing and eager listener on a journey like no other. Hospice is strongly influenced by low-fi indie rock and ambient music, but melds them in such a way that it is almost as if the music comes alive and lifts you farther and farther up into the sky.
