Thanks to everyone for making the CD Sale a success. We raised $551 for the W.O.Smith Music School in Nashville! Read more about the school and see a video made about the event after the jump!

If you’d like to know more about the W.O. Smith Music School, check out their website here. They’re a great organization with a fantastic mission, and we here at WRVU are happy to support them. They’re always looking for volunteers to help teach music, so if you have talent (or even if you don’t) then give the W.O. Smith Music School a thought.

Also, the video staff at VSC (Vanderbilt Student Communications) shot a video of the Sale last Friday. It’s posted on the website of the student newspaper, and you can view it here.

The Facebook Fan Group for WRVU (here) has reached 650 fans! We’re over a tenth of the way to our goal, and in only 4 days! If you haven’t already, add yourself as a fan so that WRVU, and not 92Q (or even 102.9 the Buzz) is placed at the top of the little heap.

Finally, stop by WRVU on the Wall this Friday from 12-1pm on Rand Terrace, right outside of Sarratt Student Center. It will be run by the DJ of Super Happy Broadcasting Cultural Relevance Hour (Fridays 6-7pm), and should be a lot of fun. If you’re a DJ and interested in running one of these yourself, keep an eye on your email and the opportunity will come soon.
